Since 2010, the President and Managing Member of CLM Engineering Associates, LLC, which concentrates its focus on forensic engineering/expert witness consulting work for the insurance industry and legal community. Qualified to provide courtroom testimony in multiple jurisdictions. Our firm accepts assignments for both Plaintiff and Defense law firms. In fact, our typical balance is 50/50 (Plaintiff v. Defense work). As a consultant and/or expert witness, I have personally assisted hundreds of clients and have helped resolve hundreds of matters whether they be in the claim stages or litigation. I’m happy to report that we’ve been retained on cases involving notable companies in various industries such as Walmart, Starbucks, Subway, etc. Also, we’ve been hired to evaluate matters whereby celebrities were somehow affiliated on the Plaintiff or Defense side such as celebrities and acclaimed television journalists. Over the years, I’ve been interviewed by various new outlets such as CNN, Fox and NewsNation in order to educate the general public on intricate technical matters pertaining to building collapse and/or roadway events.
Moreover, we also offer construction management, civil engineering and building inspection services including HUD/203k program consulting/inspections for select clients.
Extensive construction management experience on both commercial and residential projects. Performed safety inspections on both civilian and military projects through application of OSHA regulations. Designed drainage systems for the government while an officer with the United States military. Cost estimating for various projects exceeding $500 million. Design document creation and management of high-rise construction in Manhattan. marketplace. Management of telecommunications projects for Verizon in Manhattan including CPM schedule creation and updating.

Construction Management
In terms of construction management, the firm has tracked the progress of various residences in on behalf of some of the largest financial institutions in the country as part of a mortgage loan monitoring process. In addition, we have managed the quality assurance/management process for large-scale residential developments in both Connecticut and New Jersey.
Forensic Investigations
In terms of forensic investigations, the company has performed extensive investigations on behalf of our insurance company clients for storms events such as Hurricane Sandy, Irene, several winter storm events, structural issues subsequent to a natural gas explosion, structural reviews after commercial and residential fires, alleged building damage following vehicular impact to a building, and so on. Furthermore, the extent of our work with the legal community includes the evaluation of slips, trips and/or falls, building code compliance issues, construction defects, etc. We have considerable experience in handling cases for both the plaintiff and defense. In fact, our several/favorable recommendations are a testament to the detail involved in our investigations and the quality of our report writing capabilities.
